On Sunday, May 11, we will be having a BABY DEDICATION.  If you would like to participate, put your name and your child’s name on the perforated part of the bulletin and drop in the offering plate this morning.

AWANA Important Dates to Remember

May 14th - Family Awards Night in the Sanctuary - 6:15 PM - Clubbers should wear their uniforms - Cubbies through TNT report to the Sanctuary - Puggles report to normal area to be escorted to Sanctuary. 

A men's Bible study is being held on Saturdays at 7:45 am at the Country Supply Store on Rutledge Pike.  "The Master's Men" is a John MacArthur study, which examines the characteristics of the twelve disciples.  All men are invited to join.  If you have any questions, see Tony Stafford.

STUDENT MINISTRY NEWS

aStudent Life Camp – June 9 –13, 2008 – Sign up now outside The Filling Station ASAP. Cost is $200, $75.00 deposit due NOW (non-refundable). Only 75 spots available. The first 75 to pay will retain a spot for camp.

 aFall Retreat – will be August 29-31, 2008. Mark your calendars! 

aH.S. Scotland Mission Trip – Fall break, Oct.  08. Only 3 student spots left – see Ted Reed or Keith if you are interested.

aHidden Mickey Mouse Contest – Visit our website 1TrueLife.com and find the mouse.  Be the first to e-mail keith@fairviewbaptist.com to score points for your team.  Males vs. females. Winners to receive an overnight event or 1 day event geared for them.

aHike House Mtn. – May 24^th, sign-up outside of The Filling Station. Meet at church at 9:45 a.m. and return at 3 p.m.  Bring a sack lunch and drinks for the hike.

Mothers of Preschoolers we will be doing a Bible study starting June 4th for 9 Weeks except VBS week. The study is called, " A Woman After God's Own Heart," by Elizabeth George. If you are interested, please sign up downstairs in the preschool area.

COMMUNION TABLE FLOWERS

We are now accepting calls for placing a fresh flower arrangement each Sunday in the sanctuary on the altar table. If you have a birthday, anniversary, special occasion, or in memory of, etc. and you would like to place an arrangement in the sanctuary, please call Pam Gray at 922-2056 for more details.

CHILDREN’S CLOTHING MINISTRY

 Some Fairview members have felt the call to establish a children’s clothing ministry.  There are many children in Corryton that could benefit from our children’s used clothing, shoes and coats, while demonstrating God’s love to the whole family through a message and or giving.  This ministry will take a tremendous volume of clothing from infant to size 18, so please remember this as you discard winter clothing this spring.  A bucket is in the foyer for your good, clean donations.  In a few weeks, adult Sunday School classes will have the opportunity to bring new socks and underwear to be distributed as well.  If you feel led to participate, please call Kathy Yates at 604-4855.
